White ground Memling Gol Kazak rug

White ground Memling Gol Kazak rug

In this graphically appealing Kazak rug, the regularity of the field design is interrupted ever so subtly with a variation in the inner part of the bottom row of Memling Gols.  A similar phenomenon occurs in the border, in which three cruciform motifs are interspersed among the main motif of octagonal, paired bird head forms.
