A diminutive silk prayer rug depicting the architectural elements of a mosque. This piece is very unusual in that it seems to be a cottage industry product using silk. A lovely little testament to the creativity of the village weavers of Anatolia.

Age - Circa 1900
Technical information - Silk pile on cotton foundation. Symmetrically knotted.
