An extremely rare specimen, there is only one other known example with this design of offset primary Gols. This ostensibly Saryk piece seems to be Asymetrically knotted, a feature not seen in Saryk work. In any case, this piece is a gorgeous specimen of Turkmen pile weaving. Silk and cotton highlights.

  • Condition - All original. Great pile in most of the piece. A small amount of old moth damage. Missing as visible.

  • Size - 4’ x 1’5”

  • Age - Mid 19th century or earlier

  • Technical information - Wool pile. Wool warp and wool weft. Cotton and silk highlights.
