This is a classic early 19th century West anatolian piece in every sense, from the color composition to the design execution.  The red ground floral field, in which the composition is a variation of Safavid era antecedents, is complemented by the brilliant yellow meander border.

  • Condition - Good. Medium/low pile all around. Expertly repaired in some areas. Redone fringes. Ready for floor use.
  • Age - early 19th century
  • Size - 5' x 4'3"
  • Technical information - Wool pile. Wool warp and weft. Symmetrically knotted.
