 The powerful beauty of this piece belies it's utilitarian origins as a Yatak, or sleeping rug.  Pieces such as this, in which both beauty and original functionality are clearly discernible, are especially desirable for the serious collector. 


  • Condition - Commensurate with age. Mostly original with some clearly visible repairs. Areas of high, lush pile and areas that are worn to the foundation.
  • Size - 7' x 5'2"
  • Age - Circa 1800
  • Technical information - Wool pile on wool warp and wool weft. Symmetrically knotted.
